The Architectural Illusions give the
impression of aerial perspectives or floor plans. This observation
becomes suspect as the eye discovers brushstrokes that create stuccoed
or textured wall surfaces. Then, to fuse additional perspectives -
frontal, interior and three-dimensional - I rotate my composition many
times, incorporating as collage selected images from my files of
architectural photography. Detail work with watercolor crayons or
pencils enhances shapes, features, and lines that become visual pathways
through the compositions. |
